Women Making Each Other Stronger

Tuesdays, 5:30-7:00 starting April 9th

Changing Course Therapy, LLC is starting a Women’s Running Group! Each week, runners will meet at Millennium Park where they will partake in a discussion about different topics, run along the Lakefront, and have a debrief session. Throughout the program, members will participate in a Facebook group to help support one another’s goals. At the end of the program, members will be encouraged to sign up and participate in the Chicago DC Wonder Woman Run Series.

This group is for women who are ready to be inspired by and empower other women. Participants should walk away from the program:

  1. feeling more confident

  2. understanding the importance of self-care and strategies to manage stress

  3. being able to complete a 5K, 10K or Half Marathon

  4. feel part of community of strong women

Runners of all experience levels are welcome! Whether you’re new to running and are hoping to complete your first race, or you have been running for years and are aiming to complete a Half Marathon, one day a week we will run together between 1.5 to 3 miles. The rest of the days will be dependent on your particular goals, which will be tailored specifically to you after signing up.

The price to participate is $100 for 8-weeks (which averages out to $12.50 per week). The group starts Tuesday, April 9th, and runs every Tuesday until June 4th (there is a 1-week break on April 23rd).

All participants will receive a recommended running guide, access to the Facebook Group, weekly “homework assignments,” and a whole lot of support! Join a group of amazing women who will help you achieve your personal goals, and will help hold you accountable!

Relationships can be complicated at times. Whether you're currently in a relationship or you are searching for one, we will explore your past experiences, talk about what it is you hope to have in a partnership, and practice effective communication strategies.

Being a parent can be an exciting time, but sometimes the stress can feel overwhelming.  We will talk about your thoughts and feelings, and develop a self-care plan so you can be more present for yourself and your baby.
