Chicago Anxiety Treatment

Anxiety can become all-consuming at times, and can feel so overwhelming. It can impact your relationships with your friends, coworkers, family, and partners, and makes you feel like someone you're not. Getting stuck in the cycle of anxiety can change how you feel about yourself and impact the way you live your life. You might find yourself thinking:

"Am I always going to be alone?"

"What if I'm not a good mother?"

"Everyone else seems to be able to just let it go, why can’t I? What’s wrong with me?"

"Is my boss angry with me? Did I do something wrong?"

"I know it's never going to work out the way I hope it will."

“Why are my partner and I always fighting? Is it me?”

“I want to be a laid back mom, but I just can’t stop worrying!”

“I feel so stressed at work all the time. Should I start looking for another job?”

These thoughts might make you feel overwhelmed, hopeless, guilty, unfulfilled or just plain crappy. Perhaps you find yourself tossing and turning at night, unable to turn your thoughts off, or maybe you frequently seek out assurance from friends that you're doing the "right" thing. Perhaps you’re eating junk food to distract yourself or maybe even avoiding situations because you know you'll fail or disappoint someone. Sometimes family and friends don’t understand what you’re going through and tell you to just “stop thinking about it” or “let it go,” which only makes you feel more isolated and worse about it. You feel your confidence is wavering.

When you need anxiety help, therapy can be a positive and powerful experience. When I partner with women, they often become more hopeful, inspired, confident, and empowered. They find that their stress is reduced to a manageable level, their relationships are healthier, they feel more confident in their parenting, and they enjoy work more.
